...and it was like shaking hands with Jesus.
Mostly because it was a stick, and everybody knows that 6.0L V12+manual=orgasm.
That's just math, people.
I must admit that my drive wasn't very long, and consisted of a straight shot down a highway with a few sweeping curves. But when you're driving James Bond's car, even a few feet is amazing.
My overall impression was that it was surprisingly easy to drive. I'm not someone with a huge amount of super car (or super GT, whichever you prefer to call it) driving experience, but I didn't expect it to be very easy to operate.
Thankfully, I was wrong. The clutch isn't too heavy, and it bites where you expect every time. The only comparable car I've driven was a 458 Spider with a flappy paddle gearbox, but that its most definitely not trying to be a GT. The shifter was beautiful, ice-cold aluminum, and it felt fantastic in my palm. Steering was as direct and communicative as you would hope. As someone whose DD is a '98 Mazda B2500, it was heaven on earth.
I won't tell you how fast I went, but it was enough to test the high speed stability (it's good) and set a personal record. Hopefully I'll get a chance to beat it soon enough.
As a bonus, here's a sweet, sweet Volvo that I saw in my town the other weekend. In my humble opinion, it is absolutely fantastic.
Oh, one last thing. I have to shill for my new car blog. It's focused on the Chinese car market. Do me a solid and let me know what you think by checking it out !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . Thanks!
